Youfind love in the strangest places

I can find love in the strangest places,
the most queer and subnormal faces.
Find love in food courts, bereved of quiet
She’s the one who drinks coke, his is diet
They take a sip from the same straw,
He doodles i love you, she mouths “I love you more”

I can find love in places so cold,
In young, intermediate and old,
Find love in benches that has seen the best and worst,
the lake, fountain long quenched our thirst
He moves waves across to her, her hand is wet
no love there- no love, till their hands met

I can find love in places surreptitiously,
In passing notes from him to her of mounting frequency,
Find love in blinking corridors, and empty stairwells
In the help when getting up, where she fell
Just a smile, or a polite salutation would do,
no need for I love you, and I love yous

I can find love in the strangest places,
your most queer and subnormal faces,
Where  can i find summer in the dusk of your face,
then where can i find dawn in your place
my fingers stroke down on the teary palate
i love you today, i love you today
