Chapter 156: Calendar Girl
It’s not normal for a male to be annoyed by so many things but today I am because:
1. I really really really really hate how people want to go to Singfest just for one band.
2. My GP teacher is the worst debatorr on Earth
3. A relationship is something so idealistic
/
The following is the Singfest line-up this year:
Simple Plan (gay)
LostProphets (Yeah!)
Crowned King
Melee (gay)
New Found Glory (gay)
Travis (yeah!)
Melanie Suborno
Jamie Scott (yeah!)
Jason Mraz (yeah!)
Alicia Keys (yeah!)
One Republic (gay)
Panic At The Disco (gay)
Stacie Orrico(gay)
Pussycat Dolls (gay)
Rick Astley (gayest)
And like only reason why people want to go is because they want to see the Lostprophets. Yes, very smart blow your 150 on one band. This year is the most mainstream line up ever for a singfest festival and I sincerely appeal to the organizers to not think about money next year and think about music appeal to the underground. I mean, if mosaic can do it why can’t you?
Like there’ll be Eisley next door in Indonesia, Paramore can drop by as well and sigur ros you asswipes.
And, I don’t know 8/9 of the bands performing for baybeats.

My GP teacher has been really ticking off the people who think in our class. I say the people who think in our class because the people who think aren’t the Chinese girls. Like I don’t mean to classify them by their race but they’re really that whole collective group.
Well, anyway, my GP teacher, GC (grouchy cunt) has been making demeaning comments from the moment she stepped into class about the whole concept of an elitist system, trying to press into us that we’re better than others out there and talking about going-ons in top JCs like RJC. Yes, she actually mentioned the school’s name. And, when we challenge her to her ideals and ideas, she rebuts them momentarily then sidesteps into another topic.
Today was the last straw for a classmate of mine when she said something along the line that JC students are better than Poly students.
Now, this has been a touchy issue and this has been debated over the net, over the newspaper and through whatever means students can get their hands on and I adopt a very idealistic view of all this such that, Poly students are on par with JC students and go there by choice!
Yes, there are those whose grades don’t merit admittance into JC but there are those who do and make a choice to enter the polytechnic and who comes up better in life? The Poly students. She even went so far as to say that the Poly students will be workers and JC students, their managers. Maybe she’s old and demented but I think my classmate spoke up for me as well by disagreeing with her comments outright.
She also related to us an incident during Pre-U Sem about how when an RJ student was talking to a Poly student, the RJ student’s friend butted in and demanded, “Why are you talking to HIM?”
Him in a very animalistic way.
I think the idea of an elite is something relative. Poly students can be considered elite to ITE students, JC to poly, top JCs to lower rung JCs and so on and so forth. She made one good point though, that as much as our ideals are grounded and lofty and idealistic, the sysem is the system and an the presence of an elite will always be there, whether you like it or not.

Why do people around me have relationships and I am here not wanting to be in one yet wanting to be in one.
My God, My God, Why hath you forsaken me?

I wanted to go to Singfest! But I had no money. Apparently Levis Jeans has some ongoing offer, only with Citibank credit cards.. buy a pair of jeans and a ticket to Singfest for only 190 bucks. I WANT TO SEE JASON MRAZ.. why can’t John Mayer drop in too? ):
