Chapter Thirty-Six: Kiasu school
One word: Boring.
I slept through subjects 1-9 while they were briefing (well at least for the most part of it) and got Gary to tell me everything they said anyway so I didn’t lose out. Such a good sleep.
The whole day was very very very slow moving and coupled with the fact that Esther Lai has not one slither of humour= Boring.
Thought P Chan was boring and thank God for Mr Lee’s lively banter.
NTU talk which we (the group of us) attended for some reason was a funny matter because it was one of the most slanted and biased opinions about anything ever. NTU is the best here and there and top uni in Singapore in blablabla. Hello, there are only 3 unviersities, not much competition is there?
The lecturer/professor didn’t have such a high level of English proficiency and his diction was terrible but…he looked like a nice guy. I was laughing at his words infront of him with Selena and Cheryl on my right.
Went to eat after that and skipped the KI test because after what they briefed I found it stupid. Is what you know what you think you know, know know know? I found that question bullshit and got turned off immmediately. Anyway, I was tired and wasn’t going to sit in on a 1-hour test so I went for lunch with Cheryl and Selena and Nick and Jing Yi joined us later as Cheeyang was really so very ethusiastic about taking the test.
He didn’t meet the pre-requisite for English A2 (he got B4) so I think he took it under Nick’s name. You can’t blame him though, if you’re weird on the point of being suicidal and want to doubt your belief in God err…go for KI. But that’s totally IMO.
Anyway, did a search of MJC on Blogger search and from what I’ve read, everyone seems to speak good english. No more singlish, hurrah!
HAHA IT WAS DEAD BORING FOR ME TOO LAST YEAR. But heck, luckily Orientation don’t have all this bull crap about SUBJECT BRIEFINGS and what not. FUN ALL THE WAY BABEH. For me I found first day of orientation more boring cos’ we’re all still unfamiliar, but hey when its DAY TWO. HAHA HOORAY.

I took it under my name, they loved my essay so much they just said “Screw the rules”
No la, but they let me, I still opted for 4H2 without KI though
